2017 Winter Programme
1. Pizza Verdi -Gary Nadeau
When a seemingly routine pizza delivery escalates into a tense operatic game of cat-and-mouse, we soon realize that perhaps there's more to this story than first meets the eye. Giuseppe Verdi provides the soundtrack to this quintessential New York tale.
2. Connection Lost ( The Tinder Opera) - Scott Joiner and Adam Taylor
A wonderfully modern operatic tale of a newly single man’s first steps into the unfamiliar and fickle world of Tinder dating.
3. Incendio - Karen Ackerman and Miguel Seabra Lopes
Almost baroque in its ambition and detail, Akerman and Seabra Lopes' mesmerising short film delves deeply into the hard-wired dread of music lessons. Sewn around Schubert's steely Opus 1, which is itself based on the no less terrifying legend of Goethe's Erlkönig, their film is a revelation.
4. Ruby- Emma Allen
Ruby is an animated self-portrait by British artist Emma Allen. It explores the idea of rebirth and illustrates the transfer of energy from one incarnation to another. Allen's short animation is framed with the musical beauty of the human song.
5. Kai- Stefano Buro
Site specific animation inspired by Japanese Kabuki and the myths surrounding mount Daisen.
6. Something Blue - Scott Joiner and Adam Taylor
An unsound modern love story that exposes everything that's totally bizarre about reality dating & marriage shows.
7. MeTube 1: August sings Carmen Habenara- Daniel Moshel
George Bizet’s Habanera from “Carmen” has been reinterpreted for MeTube and enhanced with electronic sounds. Behind the cross-over of musical styles are director Daniel Moshel as well as opera and oratorio tenor August Schram.

After Elfie and her nerdy son August successfully proved themselves on their home webcam in Metube1, the odd pair venture onto the street to present the biggest, boldest, and sexiest operatic flash mob the internet has ever witnessed.

Experimental snap shot of a drunken Elvis in a kebab shop in South London boasting about his drunken conquests, framed with the sounds Rigeletto's of La Donna Mobile.

It is April 5th, 1975 in Jiayi, Taiwan, where the bleak dark night is haunted by the white terror.
